9 excellent things
Try these this weekend.
The highs are in the 60s in New York which means it’s finally time to admit it’s fall. In the spirit of a slow transition, here are 9 excellent things that are good now, and will be good later:
90’s Plaid Skirt: Early fall perfection.
Rancho Gordo Beans: It’s bean season and Ranch Gordo are, of course, the best. Outside of my dog’s food (lol) the extent of my cooking is vegan chile. Order white beans and try this killer New York Times recipe, or make a tomato-based chile with black beans.
Side Bowl: A glossy dish in tomato red. Any questions?
RÓHE Parachute Anorak: Very into all things sporty this season. (Or, to put it into editorial terms, “Elevated, everyday pieces like baseball and rugby shirts or anoraks feel fresh and convenient.”) The question is, will I buy this anorak OR will I obsess over it until December and then move on?
A really good sneaker: The SKALL x KEEN Jasper Sneaker are mostly sold out in the brown colorway, but that doesn’t meant we can’t pay our respects. (Alts: These adidas x Wales Bonner, these Sezane x New Balance which are also sadly sold out now but maybe they’ll restock?)
Estoublon Olive Oil: This olive oil caught my eye when I was in Provence with my friend Ashley this summer, but since I’m a carry on girl at heart I couldn’t bring it home. Lucky me, it’s available Stateside.
V-Neck Tees: These will take you back to 90’s Gap in the best of ways. This one, this one, and this (sold out) one are on my wishlist.
Chunky Bracelets: Madeline recently reminded me how much I love Hernan Herdez and god, this bracelet is beautiful.
A Beautiful Hand Soap: Saipua’s Vetiver Hand and Body Soap smells great, will elevate your bathroom sink, and comes from a female-run farm upstate. (Say less.)
Thanks for being here,
Robin
